The Occupant Status is only available at approx. one-third of apartment complexes. The problem is it is designed only for financial issues, not criminal issues.
I used this status to place a soldier's wife while he went to Iraq. She had a broken lease and her husband had great rental history. It worked then because both the Lease Holder (Soldier) and the Occupant (his wife) had no criminal history.
In addition, it only works when the lease holder can qualify (income wise) for the apartment without any funds from the occupant.
Usually, with a criminal issue, Occupant Status just doesn't work.
