Below are a summary of all the misdemeanors we normally work with. I did want to outline the Top 10 Most Difficult because these Top 15, although they are "solvable" usually result in fewer options for our clients; this list is not in order of difficulty:

Class C Misdemeanors
Class C misdemeanors are considered the least serious type of Texas criminal offense. A traffic offense is a common Class C misdemeanor. Apartments can and sometimes will, decline for these offenses. Some other Class C offenses include:
Disorderly conduct
Public intoxication

Leaving a child in a vehicle
Petty theft such as shoplifting
Possession of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle
Driving under the influence of alcohol by a minor
Minor in possession of alcohol
Minor in possession of tobacco
Class B Misdemeanors
Almost all apartments will review and will decline Class B misdemeanors unless they are older than that specific property cares about. They are considered more serious than Class C misdemeanors and the many (but not all apts) are concerned when someone has a Misdemeanor B. Examples are:

Failure to pay child support
Indecent exposure (considered by most, but not all apts, to be a sexual crime)
Minor drug possession
Vandalism
Class A Misdemeanors
Class A misdemeanors are the most serious type of Texas misdemeanors. Some apartments will ban the offender for an extended period of time for these offenses (in fact some ban for a lifetime for violent misdemeanor A). Examples include:

Assault with bodily injury (considered by many apts to be a violent charge)
Burglary of a vehicle or vending machine
Possession of two to four ounces of marijuana
Unlawful carrying of a weapon
Gambling promotion
Violation of protective orders (considered by many apts to be a violent charge)
Cruelty to animals

Public lewdness (considered by most, but not all apts, to be a sexual crime)
